Summer is basically here. And even if it’s not, the sun is. Maybe you’re not all as sun sensitive as I am, but if you’re using sunscreen (which normally I would preach…) please know that it’s still chemicals and they affect you in important, and scary ways.
Avoid
(All have been found in mothers’ breast milk. AH!!!)
• Oxybenzone – a hormone disruptor, cts like estrogen, alters sperm production, associated with endometriosis in women.
• 4-MBC – stimulates estrogen-dependent tumor cells associated with reproductive disorders.
• 3-BC – impairs reproduction and delays puberty in animals
• Octinoxate – affects reproduction, thyroid and behavior activity in animals
Go With:
• Zinc
• Titanium Dioxide
• Avobenzene
Rubbing it on once in a while may be one thing, but if you’re beaching all day with repeat applications allllllll over your body, it’s best to avoid the bad stuff. Especially if you’re pregnant.
